Day 8

Even Bigger Day!!! 

I finally got to make my life-long dream drive down the California US Highway 1 coastline through the Big Sur.  It was fantastic.  Of course Lori had the pleasure of having the flu this day.  She was also the camera man and videographer.  She wasn't real happy to say the least, but she did get some fantastic shots of the coast line.  We could tell where they had done a lot of repairs from last month's landslides. 

We made a quick pit stop at Ano Nuevo State Park to see the Elephant Seals.  We didn't know it was going to be a four mile hike there and back!   After that, we didn't have the strength to do the three mile hike to see the Giant Redwoods, so we just waved as we drove by.  But for me, seeing the coastline was what it was all about!!!
