Day 14
Grand Canyon was definitely cool. This was the last official sightseeing stop on our
cross-country tour. I was sad to see it go, but the drive home was just as fun.
This time we got to head directly south. Oh, the wind was now
directly out of the south. At least we were able to turn more of an easterly
direction once we got to the interstate. Of course, a side wind of 30 mph is a real
treat in a motor home. Especially when passing a truck. You should try it
sometime.

| We finally say good bye to all those dreaded mountains. |

|
| Lori at the wheel with the GPS showing her the way. I don't think we
could have made the trip without it. |

|
| The hillsides really started to come alive with color in Arizona. |

|
You know, even if he could read, I don't think it would
really help... |

|
This was actually one of the neater things we saw that
day. We couldn't tell what it was until we saw a sign for "Lava Land". |

|
Traffic Jam. After I stepped out to take this
picture I jumped in the back, used the restroom, freshened up a bit, and grabbed myself a
drink. I could hear them on the CB talking about me. |

|
| Our campsite wasn't pavement, it was just dirt. That and a bunch of
tumble weed waiting for us. Real class. |
