Day 6
Reno didn't seem like all it was cracked up to be. Dirty little town really.
But we didn't stay long, just a quick over-nighter. Besides, they had a huge snow
storm moving in behind us so we had to get going.
Oh - and don't forget about the 40 mph head winds. Still there...
At such high elevations and huge inclines, we're pretty much getting around 6 mpg
at this point. Gas station owners would just jump with glee every time we pulled in.

| Still waking up to beautiful mornings. And, of course, more stinking
mountains. |

|
| I wasn't too impress with Reno, but I thought this was kind of cool. |

|
| Making our way through Donner's Pass which had the two foot snow storm a
couple of days before. They had the world's biggest snow-blowers. |

|
| Almost there!!! We dropped 5000 feet in a couple of hours. Our
ears were popping!!! |

|
| I couldn't get over how lush and green California was. Especially
after driving through all that snow. |

|
| Check out that pizza! We heard about this guy on the Travel Channel.
He's a five-time pizza tossing champion. |

|
| My first glimpse of the California coastline!!! |

|
| Kids were just going bonkers that we were finally there!!! |

|
| Our campsite was right on the coast. Pretty cool location. A
bit breezy, though. |

|
| We headed straight for the beach. Yes, Nick fell in. It's a
tradition... |
