Day 4

We took off early to beat the rush hour traffic through Denver.  We heard rumors of a snow storm hitting Donners Pass with two feet of snow.  As luck would have it, we really did good on the weather.  We wouldn't be to Donners Pass for two days which gave them plenty of time to clean things up.

But did I mention the 40 mph head winds?  Lots of fun...

Made a quick pass by "Mile High Stadium" on our way through Denver.

Our first glimps of the mountain range we would have to go over.   Still several hours away.

We QUADRUPLED the population!!!  Note the elevation.  I started getting dizzy at 5000 feet.  By this point, I was pretty much useless.

Wind Farm!  Wind Generators stretched as far as you could see on the top of a mountain range.  Probably went on for 3 miles.

Nick was just entranced at the scenery.

Coming into the mountains now.  And a snow storm.  Things get white pretty quick up in the Rockies.
