Day 5
We came to a stop in Salt Lake City, Utah. I couldn't figure out why we didn't have
any water pressure the next morning. Then I realized the water hose had frozen.
Pretty cool views from the campground, though.
I did mention the 40 mph head winds yesterday, didn't I? They were still there...

| Lori knows how to take care of me. She thought of everything! |

|
| Up and at 'em!!! Look how bright that sun is outside. |

|
| Woke up to a little snow and a chill - but otherwise ok. Except that
I thought I was going to throw up all night. The flu bug had its second victim. |

|
| Ok - we're pretty freakin' high up now. But the moutains were
beutiful. |

|
| Coming around the bend to the big "Salt Lake". |

|
| Salt taste a little funny lately? 80% of the countries salt comes
from here. We saw dump trucks and bull dozers driving over the salt piles. |

|
| Heading across the great salt plains. The second set of amazing
mountains were still two hours away at this point. |

|
| Two questions: What the heck is this, and why is it out in the
middle of the salt flats??? It was huge and one of the spheres had fallen off.
Oh well... |

|
| Just to prove I was there. Today the salt flats were pretty much a
two inch deep salt lake. It was pretty wet out there. |

|
| Oh boy! Yet another set of mountains to climb!!! Simple
breath-taking. Next stop - Reno!!! |
